Mahatma Phule Education Trust was established in 1983 by Shree Baburao Mane, with a passion for education, keeping in mind the area of Dharavi which bares the fame of being the largest slum in Asia. Providing quality education to the underprivileged and backward class is a herculean task in this area. In 1996 Shree Baburao Mane started his first secondary school named Chhatrapati Shivaji Vidyalaya in four medium that are Marathi, Hindi, Urdu and English. After realizing that pre-primary & primary education are also a must in the ongoing process of education to be achieved, he then started Raje Shivaji Vidyalaya, pre- primary & Primary School in Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, English in 1997.
